Locus FS Named Top Workplaces 2019

SOLON, Ohio (June 27, 2019) Biotechnology company Locus Fermentation Solutions (Locus FS) has been awarded a Top Workplaces 2019 honor by The Plain Dealer. The Solon-based startup has continued to gain recognition for its innovation, leadership and high-level R&D work developing probiotic-based solutions that are safer, greener and more effective at addressing key global challenges than traditional chemicals.

Locus FS was selected for the Top Workplaces list based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by research partner Energage, LLC. The anonymous survey measures several aspects of workplace culture, including alignment, execution and connection.

“Top Workplaces is more than just recognition,” said Doug Claffey, CEO of Energage. “Our research shows organizations that earn the award attract better talent, experience lower turnover and are better equipped to deliver bottom-line results. Their leaders prioritize and carefully craft a healthy workplace culture that supports employee engagement.”

Probiotic experts founded Locus FS to explore the power of microorganisms and develop non-GMO, environmentally-friendly solutions used as sustainable approaches in the agriculture, oil and gas and personal care industries, amongst others. Locus FS currently commercializes products through two operating companies, Locus Agricultural Solutions (agriculture) and Locus Bio-Energy Solutions (oil and gas), with additional operating companies in development.

In less than five years, Locus FS has attracted experts from across the world to join the forward-thinking company and has established a unique culture focused on innovation, disruption and growth. This talented group is creating solutions that successfully address large pain points around the globe, including improving sustainable agricultural productivity, reducing carbon footprints and safely stopping oil production declines, among others.

“I’m always impressed by what can be accomplished when you bring together a group of passionate, driven individuals all committed to the same goals and I’m grateful for all members of our team that help drive our momentum forward” said Andrew Lefkowitz, Co-Founder, Chairman and CEO of Locus FS.”

The Top Workplaces award comes mere months after Locus FS was named one of the 2019 Best Employers in Ohio. For more information on the company, its culture and its proven technologies, visit LocusFS.com.
