Last week, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) released a report stressing the importance of land management in the ongoing battle to fight climate change. Through deforestation, general human activities, and agriculture, 70% of the Earth’s land surface has been altered, it states, adding to climate-warming emissions and making it more difficult for forests and other ecosystems to store greenhouse gases.

Results from the treatment of almonds, cherries, turf/sod, grapes and citrus across the U.S., as well as impressive preliminary growth data from hardwood reforestation, show a dramatic increase in soil carbon sequestration as well as vastly improved plant productivity. The new data, verified by multiple third parties, comes ahead of the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report release this week stressing the importance of addressing agricultural land in the fight against climate change.
